Mumbai: Maulana Badruddin Ajmal, president of Sarvasamaj United Democratic Front, while condemning Israeli airstrikes on Gaza Strip said the attack was a manifestation of barbarism and a strong slap on the face of the so-called champions of world peace.
Criticizing those who claim to be establishing peace world over he asked why they have adopted a criminal silence while nearly 400 innocents have been killed, thousands lying injured in hospitals and properties worth crores of rupees have been destroyed.
Maulana Badruddin Ajmal has appealed to world leaders to put pressure on Israel to end bombing or it may endanger the world peace.
He said that insistence of Israel on attacking on Palestine is nothing but to prove its superiority ignoring the demand by the United Nations and other countries to stop the bombing. He said that the UN has proved ineffective in tackling the present crisis.
Expressing his grief at the innocent deaths on behalf of the people of India Maulana Ajmal appealed to the Indian government to use its influence to bring peace to the region.
