Islamabad : Caretaker Prime Minister Mohammadmian Soomro, on Friday said his visit to Yemen and Saudi Arabia is aimed at further strengthening bilateral relations particularly economic and trade cooperation with these countries.
Talking to APP before his departure for Yemen here at Chaklala Airbase, he said such visits have their own importance and termed his visit to these countries as friendly.
He said his visit is also important in view of the political, defence as well as relations of Islamic countries at OIC level.
The Prime Minister said he is visiting Yemen at the invitation of his Yemenese counterpart where a lot of trade opportunities exist for Pakistani agricultural, pharmaceuticals and defence related products.
During his stay, the Prime Minister, who is leading an important trade delegation to Yemen and Saudi Arabia, would meet importers of these countries.
The Prime Minister said during his two-day stay in Yemen, he will hold meeting with Prime Minister, Dr. Ali Mohamed Mujowwar, followed by delegation level talks.
His engagements there also include meetings with President, Ali Abdullah Saleh and Chairman of the Shoora Council, Abdul Aziz Abdul Ghani.
The Prime Minister will also address the Yemeni businessmen and meet with the Pakistani community.
During his stay in Saudi Arabia, the Prime Minister, will hold meetings with business executives on Sunday and will perform Umrah and offer prayers at Masjid-e-Nabavi.
