NEW DELHI, Feb 2 APP: The Indian Institute for Defence Studies and Analysis (IDSA) will sign a memorandum of understanding with Pakistan Institute for Strategic Studies next week.
The Indian daily “The Hinduâ” said under the MoU, defence analysts will be exchanged between both the neighbouring countries.
The daily quoting IDSA director Narendra Sisodia said “the agreement is the first of its kind between Indian and Pakistani think tanks, and obviously it is important for us to be communicating more with Pakistan.
Sisodia, who is also former Defence Secretary while talking to reporters said the IDSA’s annual Asian Security Conference will be held here from Tuesday to Thursday next.
The defence analysts and academics from the world will attend this conference and focus on Afghanistan, Pakistan, terrorism and nuclear proliferation, he added.
