Beirut : Four Israeli warplanes have violated Lebanese airspace entering from the south and flying all the way to the north, a statement by the Lebanese army said.
Two of the planes came from the direction of the southern Lebanese border village of Rmeish while two others came from the border village of Kfar-Kila Sunday, the statement said.
The aircraft proceeded north up to the city of Batroun, where they flew in a circular pattern before returning back south and leaving Lebanese airspace over Naqura, the statement added.
The almost daily Israeli intrusions into Lebanese airspace are in direct violation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701 banning such violations.
