Frankfurt : Eintracht Frankfurt beat Arminia Bielefeld 2-1 to move into the seventh place in the German Bundesliga.
Ioannis Amanatidis scored first in the 37th minute and newcomer Martin Fenin added to the home side’s lead two minutes into the second half Friday. Artur Wichniarek pulled one back in the 74th minute, but it was not enough for the visitors, who remain fifth-from-bottom in the league.
Eintracht’s victory in front of 43,300 fans was its third in a row. But manager Friedhelm Funkel criticized his side for a “nervous” performance in the second half. “That’s where we saw that this team still lacks maturity,” he said.
