Mumbai : Mumbai-based offshore BPO firm Firstsource Solutions Ltd (FSL) has signed a five-year $80 million outsourcing partnership with financial services provider Barclays PLC for credit card business in the US.
Providing this information to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Friday, FSL said under the terms of the agreement it will manage and operate Barclays’ operations centre in Colorado Springs and provide customer care and collections support to Barclays US cardholders.
According to an official spokesperson, the partnership is expected to help both the companies in expanding their operations in the US.
Anand Mukerji, managing director and chief executive officer of FSL, said: “This is an ideal partnership for both Firstsource as well as Barclays.”
Firstsource has nearly 2,500 employees and over a dozen operational centres in the US, providing business process management solutions to three leading banks and five credit card companies there.
