Raipur : Central minister and Lok Janshakti Party leader Ram Vilas Paswan Saturday condemned the attacks on north Indians in Mumbai in recent days and criticised the Maharashtra government for not taking stern measures against the attackers.

“The campaign of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) led by Raj Thackeray is an act of goondaism and it cannot be called a political development,” Paswan told reporters in Bhilai, around 40 km from Raipur.

He also alleged that the Maharashtra government was not taking any stern action against people involved in the violence.

“We had urged the prime minister to intervene in the matter and had also taken up the issue in the cabinet,” Paswan said.
