Oslo/Kabul : Norway’s government closed its embassy in the Afghan capital Kabul Sunday following a terrorist threat, a spokesperson for the Norwegian foreign ministry in Oslo said.
She gave no further details, but said the government was taking the threat seriously and was looking into it.
Norwegian Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Store survived a bomb attack on the Hotel Serena in Kabul in mid-January in which seven people died.
Norway has 500 soldiers in Afghanistan, including a rapid reaction force that will be replaced by German troops July 1.
