Orissa: The Orissa chapter of Jamiat Ulema-e Hind has elected Maulana Jalal Shahid of Kendrapara district as Amir-e-Shariat and Maulana Jabir of Binjharpur president.
In a meeting held in Kendrapara, Orissa, Maulana Jabir proposed the name of Maulana Jalal for Amir-e-Shariat of Orissa. He was elected unanimously. On the other hand, Maulana Jalal proposed Jabir’s name for state president of the organization.
Besides, Nakirul Amin (Barqui) will take the charge of general secretary and Maulana Abdul Sayeed Nomani, Maulana Sofiyan and Maulana Motiullah will be vice presidents of the state Jamiat. Maulana Mohmmed Ali will be cashier.
