Berlin : Germany’s 1.3 million public service employees are due to stage a walkout on Thursday, calling for an eight-percent salary hike, media reports said Tuesday.
The employer side has only agreed to a five-percent raise, leading to bogged down talks, said the public service union ver.di.
German Interior Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble accused the labor union of adopting an uncompromising stance.
Affected by the warning strikes could be hospitals, day-care centers and other public facilities.
