Following investigations soon after the theft late Tuesday, the police are not ruling out the role of bank employees who know the master code of the State Bank of Patiala’s ATM located in the Sanjauli area of the state capital.

The possibility is that the master code may have been passed on to the thieves, the police said. The police have questioned a few bank officials and taken their fingerprints.

The bank manager informed the police about the theft, who arrived at the scene of the crime with a dog squad.
