Brussels : The European Parliament (EP) announced Wednesday that it is sending an electoral observation mission to Pakistan, to monitor the parliamentary and provincial elections on 18 February. The delegation is chaired by Robert Evans, a British MEP, who will complement the long-term EU observation mission, which is headed by German MEP Michael Gahler.
The long-term EP mission is already in Pakistan. The delegation will be in Pakistan from 15-20 February, noted an EP statement.
