During his three-day official visit to India launched on Monday, Zubkov has held talks with the country’s leadership and attended the second Russia-Indian trade and investment forum with a business delegation.

“I am sincerely glad to be here with you at the opening of a Russian news center, dedicated to the launch of the Year of Russia in India,” the Russian premier said.

Zubkov said officials on Tuesday pointed to the insufficient level of information exchange between Russian and Indian nationals. He expressed hope that the new center would meet these demands in full and provide “first hand” objective reports.

The news center is located on the premises of the Russian embassy in India. Video conferencing equipment is due to installed soon to enable TV links.
