Kabul : One soldier of the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) was killed and another wounded when their convoy was fired at near Kabul, the alliance said on Thursday.
The attack on the NATO convoy was carried out in Sarobi district of Kabul the other day, said the military statement, which did not disclose nationality of the soldiers killed and injured.
The injured soldier was rushed to an ISAF medical facility. The statement did not mention anything about his health condition.
Mostly Italian and French soldiers along with some Turkish troops are operating inside Kabul and on the outskirts of the Afghan capital as part of the NATO’s peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan.
