Chandigarh : Raminder Singh Baloria, a legislator of Punjab’s ruling Akali Dal, has died in the US after prolonged illness.
Baloria, 51, who was elected from the Amritsar South assembly constituency last year, had gone to the US for treatment of liver cancer. He died Wednesday.
Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal Thursday condoled the demise of Baloria. They said the legislator was an effective leader and worked hard for the party.
