Tehran : Governor of Iranian Central Bank Tahmaseb Mazahiri, the Governor of Iran’s Central Bank, has called for enhancing the Islamic Solidarity Fund for meeting the financial requirements of the Muslim countries.
Addressing the 250 th conference of the Islamic development bank (IDB), which began here today its deliberations, Mazahiri said enhancing the Islamic Solidarity Fund requires transparency of the financial systems of the OIC’s member states as well as establishment of a framework for the utilization of the financial resources of these countries.
He underlined the importance of the development of the financial resources of the OIC’s member states.
Mazahiri hoped that the Islamic Solidarity Fund and the IDB will be capable of realizing their joint goals.
The conference is scheduled to end its deliberations on Monday.
