Beirut : Arab League secretary-general Amr Moussa has said that the Arab League will sponsor a four-way meeting between the Lebanese opposition and majority on Feb 24, two days before a parliamentary session to elect a president of the republic.
Moussa, interviewed by Future TV Sunday, said that he has contacted the Lebanese officials and political leaders to prepare for the meeting.
He hoped the atmosphere in Lebanon was heading towards the support of the Arab initiative, which calls for the election of army commander General Michel Sulaiman as president, formation of a government of national unity and the wording of a fresh electoral law.
Moussa said the discussions would resume from the point where they had stopped.
