Chima Ramu finishes 11th in Hong Kong marathon

Mumbai : Kennedy Chima Ramu finished 11th at the men’s marathon in Hong Kong and helped India to stay on top for the fourth successive year in the South Asia and Middle East challenge of the Standard Chartered Greatest Race on Earth.

Ramu finished the final leg with a timing of 2:30.14 sec and ensured that the Indian men’s team pocketed $ 40,000 for securing Champion Team title.

In the women’s section, Rina Das finished 15th (31st overall) with a timing of 3 hours 16.48 sec. The women’s team finished second in the regional challenge and earned $ 20,000.

The overall winners were decided on cumulative timing of four Marathon races held at Nairobi, Singapore, Mumbai and Hong Kong respectively.
