India has statistical advantage against Sri Lanka

Adelaide : India will start with a psychological advantage against Sri Lanka in the Commonwealth Bank Triangular One-day Series as they have won 15 of the 26 matches for 57.69 percent success at neutral venues.

Sri Lanka, on the other hand, has won nine matches for 34.62 percent success. But they have a slight advantage against India in Australia as they have won one of the three matches while the other two have ended in a ‘no result’.

Overall, the two teams have played 97 matches, with India winning 49 (50.52 percent) and Sri Lanka 38 (39.18 percent) while 10 have failed to produce a result.

India is placed second on the points table with eight from five matches and Sri Lanka have six points from four matches.

Australia leads the table with 17 points from five matches.

The best-of-three finals will be played March 2, 4 and 7.
