Lucknow : United Progressive Alliance (UPA) chairperson and Congress party chief Sonia Gandhi will visit her constituency Rae Bareilly, along with her son Rahul Gandhi, MP from the adjoining Amethi constituency, Wednesday.
Union Finance Minister P. Chidambaram, Petroleum Minister Murli Deora, would accompany Sonia along with former minister and Gandhi family loyalist Satish Sharma. Union ministers of state Pawan Bansal and Dinesha Patil would also accompany the UPA chairperson.
Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC) Akhilesh Pratap Singh said Sonia and Rahul would jointly lay the foundation stone of Rajiv Gandhi Computer Education Centre and attend rural loan disbursement programme organised by the Bank of Baroda at the Feroze Gandhi engineering college campus. They would also address a public rally there.
The itinerary of the Congress chief also includes foundation stone laying ceremony of the Rajiv Gandhi Petroleum Research Institute in Amethi.
