Sharjah : Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council member and ruler of Sharjah offered donation to the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organisation (ALECSO) to help it complete compilation of encyclopedia for Arab and Muslim literary figures and scientists.
Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Owais, director general of the department of culture and information in Sharjah said the “donation comes in line with unlimited support of Sheikh Sultan to the projects which serve Arab and Islamic nation”.
He said that the “directives of Sheikh Sultan in this direction aim at strengthening cultural and humanitarian links among all peoples to achieve dialogue and restore peace”.
He added that the relations between the department and organisation extend to over two decades.
