Patna : Police seized a truckload of explosives, including 6,000 kg of gelatin, in Nawada district in Bihar Saturday and arrested seven people.
“The explosives had either been procured by Maoists or by businessmen engaged in illegal stone quarrying in the state and neighbouring Jharkhand,” police said.
The truck was intercepted by police personnel while it was on way from Guna in Madhya Pradesh.
Police have begun a probe into the seizure of the explosives.
