Global meet on intellectual property in Mumbai

Mumbai : The second two-day Annual Global Forum on Innovation, Creativity and Intellectual Property will be held in Mumbai Feb 26-27.

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in collaboration with the US Chamber of Commerce and the US India Business Council (USIBC) along with the Indian government’s Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion will host the forum.

The forum has attracted participants from around 15 countries. The key speakers are Ronald Noble, secretary general Interpol, Shanker Annaswamy, CII chairman and managing director of IBM India Pvt Ltd and David Chavern, executive vice president of US Chamber of Commerce.

Managing directors and chief executive officers of various companies from different countries including Singapore, Brazil, Mexico and France will be present.

This is one of the flagship events of CII National Committee of IP Owners, which spearheads CII national and international initiatives in intellectual property protection and enforcement.

Some of the key sessions of the forum are developing new treatments and cures, the role of innovation, the process of innovation, case studies in developing a competitive environment, judicial remedies for IP infringement, creator to consumer, protecting intellectual property in a digital age, global trends in IP protection and international law enforcement, working with brand owners to protect IP.
