Cairo : Egypt’s Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit stressed that consultations with Saudi Arabia and Syria are continuing for the success of the Arab summit scheduled in Damascus next month.
In an interview with Egyptian newspaper Al-Jomhoriyyah published today, he affirmed the desire that the summit achieves a degree of credibility for Arabs and progress for Arab peoples.
Aboul Gheit emphasized the importance of ending the Lebanese crisis according to the Arab initiative, noting that there are political forces seeking to take advantage of the Lebanese file to achieve their objectives.
