New Delhi : A city court Thursday issued fresh production warrant against underworld don Babloo Srivastava and his associate Fazal-ur-Rehman after Delhi Police failed to produce them in the court in connection with a four-year-old extortion case.

Additional Sessions Judge Pratibha Rani issued the production warrant for March 18 after the Special Cell of Delhi Police said it could not produce the duo because both were ill.

Babloo and his associates Fazlu, Pradeep Khurana and Jitender Singh allegedly made threatening calls to complainant Sheetal Prasad Singh, demanding Rs.2.5 million from him between March 14 and April 29, 2003.

Delhi Police had last month filed a charge sheet in the court under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA), accusing Babloo and others of running an organised crime syndicate.
