Srinagar : Traditional Kashmiri cuisine may tickle the taste buds in three more countries this year.
Aziz Wani, the managing director of the Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Development, said his department has submitted a proposal to the central government for holding Kashmiri food fests in Japan, Korea and Malaysia this year.
“We have received requests from hoteliers in Dubai to hold the Kashmiri food fest again this year.
“We shall be organizing the food fest in Dubai for 10 days next month,” Wani said.
The local tourism department has already held three food fests in the country at Delhi, Kolkata and Goa.
“Now we are holding a food festival at Indore,” Wani said.
Traditional Kashmiri chefs called ‘Wazas’ prepare the elaborate local cuisine spread over two-dozen courses.
