Brussels : The European Union Parliament created a working group Thursday to continue investigations into secret CIA flights and the existence of illegal prisons on European soil to torture suspected terrorists.
Coordinators of the Civil Liberty parliamentary group agreed to form this group to delve deeper into CIA actions and determine in what way European governments were involved.
The working group will be led by Carlos Coelho and Claudio Fava.
In the middle of 2007, an EU Parliament commission determined that more than 10 countries of the region allowed CIA planes transporting suspected terrorists to use their airports or air space.
