The Israeli Defense Forces “slaughter and blitz” of civilians and buildings will not deter the Palestinian people, says the release.

Health Ministry Emergency Services Chief Moawiya Hassanein said the IDF raid on Gaza and the West Bank continues Thursday, with at least 20 dead including two children under five, more than 30 wounded and 12 arrests made in Gaza and Naplusa.

A special unit killed two Palestinians in Balata refugee camp, Naplusa, and the other four fell in air raids on Chujaiya and Zeitun neighborhoods, Naplusa.

The victims were mostly members of the Islamic Resistance (Hamas), the Popular Resistance Committees and Islamic Jihad.

Israel justified the raid with the death of an Israeli citizen in Sderot hit by a missile the resistance shot from Gaza.

Abu Obaida said on behalf of Hamas that the murder wave shows lack of interest from Israel in restoring peace and reaching an agreement, so he denied a cease-fire during the IDF escalation.

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told Haaretz daily in Japan that the operations will continue until every citizen in south Israel is safe.
