No casualties in plane accident in Tehran: official

Tehran : No one was hurt in a plane accident in Tehran Mehrabad International Airport Wednesday morning, the spokesman of Iran’s Aviation Organization announced Wednesday.

Talking to IRNA, Reza Jafarzadeh said a plane, Fokker 100, belonging to the Islamic Republic of Iran Airlines (Iran Air), was heading from Tehran to the southern provincial capital, Shiraz, at 07:20 hours local time (0350 GMT) when it skidded off the runway while trying to takeoff.

Jafarzadeh further said that the causes of the plane accident are under investigation.

He added that all passengers on board of the plane are in good condition.
