New York : Troubled pop star Britney Spears compounded her problems when she failed to appear in court at the appointed time, prompting her lawyers to quit her case.
This is supposedly the fifth time when her scheduled deposition in the custody case with her estranged husband Kevin Federline did not happen, tmz.com reports. For one of the depositions held last month, Spears claimed she was too sick to attend but paparazzi on the night before clicked pictures of her partying.
Her lawyers have had enough of her unpredictability and have filed papers asking to withdraw as her counsel. Spears absence in court was cited as the main reasons for the lawyers abandoning her.
Attorney Tara Scott from Trope and Trope in the legal papers wrote: “There has been a breakdown in communications between Spears and Trope and Trope making further representation of her interests impossible.”
Another big reason why the lawyers quit seems to be that Spears just wasn’t listening to any of their advice and her erratic antics were destroying their chances of having a credible case.
