Islamabad : Pakistani troops Thursday captured 52 suspected militants in the northern lush-green Sawat valley, the military said.
These militants were apprehended in Shakardara area of Sawat valley on Thursday morning during a search operation, the military said in a statement.
The arrests were made three days after eight people including a politician of the ruling party were killed in a bomb explosion.
According to press reports, more than 300 militants have been killed in Sawat since military took over command and control of the operation in Sawat after President Musharraf imposed state of emergency in the country in November.
