Moscow : An employee of the Turkish Embassy in Moscow was stabbed on Thursday, the Itar-Tass news agency reported.
An alarm call came at 11:56 a.m. Moscow time (0856 GMT) to the Moscow district police station from an emergency station, where the wounded Turkish diplomat sought medical advice.
“The man was stabbed in the right hand, and he was let go after the first medical aid,” the police source said.
“The police said the injured man is an employee of the passport and visa department of the Turkish Embassy in Moscow,” the source was quoted by Itar-Tass as saying.
The injured Turkish diplomat told the police a strange man came up to him at about 11 a.m. Moscow time at the junction of the first and second Truzhinnikovskiye By-Streets, then the criminal stirred up a quarrel with him, stabbed him in the right had and escaped from the scene by a Zhiguli car.
The Moscow main police department confirmed the reports about the injured Turkish diplomat. The investigation into the incident is underway, the police source said.
