Yemen, Kuwait sign judicial cooperation agreement

Sana’a : Minister of Justice Ghazi al-Aghbari and Kuwaiti Minister of Justice and Social and Labour Affairs Jamal al-Shihab have signed here an agreement for judicial and law cooperation between Yemen and Kuwait.

The agreement Wednesday stipulates handing over and transmitting convicted people of negative freedom sentences, acknowledgement of judicial norms, formal contracts, judiciary reconciliation and implementing them.

The agreement also includes information exchange, encouraging visits, rights of the people of the two countries to return to courts, declaration of documents and judicial papers and other judiciary items.

In a statement to SABA, the Kuwaiti minister said that the agreement is considered confirmation of brotherly relations between the two countries, confirming the importance of exchanging visits and expertise for developing these relations.

For his part, al-Aghbari confirmed that the agreement aims at boosting Yemeni-Kuwaiti relations and will reflect positive results to the two countries, stressing that “Yemen will work through this agreement on implementing its items.”
