Sana’a : An industrial source said that Yemen seeks seriously to establish two free economic zones with Saudi Arabia and an economic zone with Oman, the state-run 26sep.net reported on Friday.
Director-General of Industrial Zones Department in Industry and Trade Ministry Saleh al-Sanabani said that the government is currently working with the Omani official bodies to announce officially the establishment of the economic zone between the two countries.
Al-Sanabani pointed out that Egyptian experts would complete by the end of January the project’s economic studies that would be set at a joint border region.
Al-Sanabani said that Yemen and Saudi Arabia are discussing currently over setting up two free economic zones in border areas between the two countries, one of them in al-Wadia’h area of Hadramout province and the other in al-Tawal area.
