Patna : Following threats from Maoist rebels and other terrorist outfits, 57 closed circuit televisions (CCTVs) have been installed at the Patna railway station to ensure round the clock security.
Ajitabh Kumar, railway superintendent of police (Patna circle), said the installation of 57 CCTVs was completed by Sunday and 150 more CCTVs would be installed at the station in the coming months.
Police said Patna railway station has been put on maximum alert following the threat of a terrorist attack.
No organisation or individual has claimed responsibility for issuing the threat, which was received by the Railway Protection Force.
Police officials said the authorities have deployed additional security forces and intensified patrolling.
