Mumbai : Budget carrier Air Deccan announced Monday the launch of its daily flights between Kolkata and Jaipur from Jan 15.
The flights will be serviced by Airbus-320 aircraft.
Deccan’s acting CEO Ramki Sundaram said its new service between Kolkata and Jaipur would facilitate easy connectivity at affordable fares for corporate travellers and tourists alike.
He added millions of people travelling between these cities rely largely on trains, for which travel time is some 48 hours.
“With time being the primary consideration for increasing number of travellers, a direct flight in each direction will upgrade scores of people to air travel. It will also provide a great fillip to the growth of commercial and tourism activities between the cities,” he said.
