Emirates Airline to pass management control of Sri Lankan to Sri Lanka govt

Dubai : President of Emirates Airline and managing director of Sri Lankan Airlines Tim Clark has said that Emirates Airline has notified the government of Sri Lanka that it will not renew the shareholder’s agreement which expires on March 31, 2008.

Accordingly, Clark said Sunday, with effect from April 1 2008, management control of Sri Lankan Airlines will pass to the government of Sri Lanka.

Emirates Airline currently holds 43.6 per cent equity in the company.
