Production resumed at a capacity of nearly 200,000 barrels per day at the refinery in Beiji, 250 kilometers (155 miles) north of Baghdad on Tuesday, said spokesman Assem Jihad.

He said the fires, which broke out on Monday afternoon in a liquefied gas production unit that had recently undergone maintenance work, killed an engineer and left 10 people suffering burns injuries. None of the injured were in serious condition, the Associated Press reported.
