Jammu : Fire brand leader of National Conference Ali Muhammad Sagar today threatened to bring no-confidence motion against Speaker Tara Chand, whom the former accused of being biased towards the opposition benches.
The threat came when House was in commotion during the Question Hour, this morning. The members were protesting against, `poor’ power scenario and undue favour to some private companies while executing various prestigious projects.
NC MLA Ali Muhammad Sagar, who along with Main Altaf was protesting for refusal by the Speaker to grant them time to speak turned ferious, when he failed to get attention of the Chair.
‘Speaker Sahib Yeh Acha Nehi Hai’ angry Sagar shouted adding, “Don’t force us to bring no confidence motion against you”.
Former power minister Rigzin Jora tried to come to the ‘rescue’ of MoS Babu Singh, who has recently been given independent charge of Power.
However, Sagar foiled his attempt and said, “He should be given back his power portfolio”.
On another occasion, Sagar challenged Jora, when the later was answering to a query regarding power department. He is not competent to answer, Sagar said adding, ‘You have Industries department not power’.
As the two members created uproar in the House, Speaker allowed both of them to speak by turn.
