Kabul : At least two soldiers of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization died and one other was wounded when a roadside bomb hit their vehicle in the Afghan province of Nangarhar, military sources reported.
According to the NATO release, the troops were responding to a call from the local police who had discovered another explosive device in an area of Kot district, when the second bomb exploded.
The nationalities of the dead soldiers were not released, but most of the troops in that area are American.
NATO had previously announced that two Canadian soldiers died in Kandahar on Sunday when their armored vehicle flipped.
The recent deaths increased the number of coalition soldiers who have lost their lives so far this year in this Islamic central Asian country to four.
