Raipur : Novel Kumar Verma, president of the Chhattisgarh unit of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), has complained to the police that he and his family have been threatened with death by an anonymous caller.
“A man made repeated calls Monday on my wife’s mobile phone and … threatened to kill my entire family,” Verma told IANS.
Verma, the only legislator of NCP in the 90-member state assembly, said the man called four times that day.
“I answered the call Monday night and he again threatened to wipe out my family,” Verma said, and added that the caller was using “abusing language too”.
