New Delhi : Private engineering and design firm Larsen and Toubro (L&T) has bagged five contracts together worth Rs.36 billion ($916 million) to build hotels and offices in Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkota, the company said Thursday.
These include a Rs.20-billion order from private developer Kingston Properties Pvt Ltd to build offices and residential buildings in Mumbai, L&T informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The company has agreed to complete the project in four years, the statement added.
L&T has also secured a Rs.6.65-billion order from software solutions provider Cognizant Technology Ltd to build development centres in Chennai and Kolkota.
The firm will build an office for banking major ICICI Bank in Hyderabad for Rs.4.08 billion.
It will also take up construction of a 600-room hotel for hospitality industry major ITC Hotels in Chennai at a contracted price of Rs.1.87 billion.
The company has also secured a Rs.3-billion order from the private developer CSJ Infrastructure Pvt Ltd for undertaking construction of malls, offices and hotels in Chandigarh, the statement said.
