On Friday, both the companies signed a long-term pact at Auto Expo 2008 in New Delhi, Cades said in a statement released here.

CRH makes seat structures, adjuster systems for seats, steering columns and variable interiors for global manufacturers of cars in the premium segment.

Under the pact, Cades will extend its engineering services to system suppliers in the auto sector.

“We have a global contract with CRH for engineering services since Nov 2006. We have also worked on different programmes of the German firm offshore as well as onsite,” Cades CEO Dataram Mishra said.

CRH plans to enter the Indian market to serve many of its global customers setting shop in the sub-continent.

“We have built domain expertise in the automotive industry to provide design and advanced engineering services. We will outsource our seating systems from Cades economically to provide value to our global customers,” CRH director Zimmerbeutel said in the statement.
