Damascus : Syrian Prime Minister Mohammad Naji Ottri has held discussions with Turkish Minister of Environment and Forestry Professor Vesil Oglu and Iraqi Minister of Water Resources Abdullatif Jamal Rashid on cooperation among the three countries and means of further developing them for their best interests.
The premier and the two ministers discussed prospects of joint cooperation in the fields of water and water resources as well as benefiting from technical and scientific expertise in the area of dam building, land reform, water rationing and modern irrigation techniques.
Oglu and Rashid expressed satisfaction over the level of the three-way cooperation on water issues and organising water resources, stressing that points of view were identical regarding the optimal use of water resources and fair sharing of water in a way to enhance development projects in the three countries.
