Ankara : Turkish Security Forces seized 113.7 kg of hashish at a hideout of the Kurdish Workers’ Party (PKK) during counter-terror operations staged in southeastern province of Hakkari, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported on Monday.
Acting on a tip-off, the security forces confiscated 113.7 kg of hashish stashed in a shelter which belonged to the PKK in Yuksekova district of Hakkari, said the report.
Two people who had been accused of receiving training in PKK camps were taken into custody in the operations, it added.
Turkey is a key transit route for smuggling drugs from Asia and the Middle East to markets in western Europe.
