Gaza : Seven Palestinians were killed and ten wounded on Tuesday morning by Israeli tank shells in eastern Gaza city when Israeli troops started rolling into the area, witnesses and paramedics said.
Mo’awyea Hassanein, chief of emergency in the ministry of health said that Shifa Hospital received the bodies of seven Palestinians, five of them are militants and two civilians, adding ten people were injured too.
The witnesses said that a number of tanks and bulldozers began entering border areas in the east of Gaza city slowly since the dawn while the bulldozers leveled makeshift installations and agricultural fields.
The tanks opened heavy machinegun fire and launched several missiles, killing seven people and wounding ten others, two of them seriously, said Hassanein.
In West Bank, the Israeli army raided the cities of Ramallah, Hebron and Nablus last night and arrested 13 Palestinians, claiming they were wanted by Israel.
