New Delhi : Top seed Subhajit Saha of the Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB) lost to Anirban Nandi of Railways’ Sports Promotion Board (RSPB) in the men’s quarterfinal of the North Zone Table Tennis tournament here Monday.
Saha went down 6-11, 9-11, 11-9, 11-7, 8-11, 14-12 and 11-4 to Nandi at the Student Gymkhana in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). In the other quarterfinals, Amal Raj of RSPB defeated Devesh Karia of PSPB 11-7, 11-6, 12-10, 11-4 while Pathik Mehta of Air India edged past RSPB’s Sourav Chakraborty 12-10, 11-3, 11-13, 11-4, 11-3.
