OSLO, Jan 22 (KUNA) — Norway has condemned Israel’s siege of Gaza Strip where some 1.5 million natives are suffering from severe shortage of necessities due to closure of gateways around the region.
Norwegian Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere, in a statement he made on Tuesday, said the Israeli blockade is an unacceptable act for it is directed against civilians.
The minister expressed concern at deterioration of the humanitarian conditions in the strip and escalation of violence by the concerned parties.
Tel Avis says it has imposed the blockade to coerce armed Palestinian factions halt missiles attacks.
