New Delhi : Leading engineering and construction firm Larsen and Toubro (L&T) has bagged orders worth $269 million to lay power transmission lines and set up distribution stations in the Gulf region, the company said Wednesday.
“L&T (Oman) LLC, a subsidiary of L&T and one of the leading engineering and construction majors in Oman, has bagged three turnkey contracts worth $116 million from Oman Electricity Transmission Co (OETC) for electrical grid stations and associated transmission system,” the company informed Bombay Stock Exchange Wednesday.
“Our Oman-based subsidiary bagged another order to build $48 million factory complex in Oman,” the company said.
“In addition, the subsidiary of L&T has also bagged a $105-million contract from the Al Ain Distribution Company (AADC) to undertake construction of five electrical substations and associated cabling in the Al Ain city of Abu Dhabi,” the company said.
