Calgary (Canada) : Fifth seeded Ritwik Bhattacharya of India crashed out in the opening round of the Talisman Energy Bankers Hall Club Squash Open here.
Christopher Gordon of the US defeated Bhattacharya 11-7, 10-11 (4-6), 3-11, 11-8, 11-1 in 85 minutes in the $15,000 Professional Squash Tour event at Bankers Hall Club.
Later, Gordon lost to qualifier Majid Khan of Pakistan 7-11, 7-11, 9-11 in 41 minutes in quarter-finals.
In semi-finals, Khan will meet eighth seed Jorge Isaac Baltazar Ferreira of Mexico while top seed Shahier Razik of Canada will clash with qualifier Arturo Salazar of Mexico.
